the genius factory incident


today m. and i returned the tank to fairfax.
as we were walking up, this young all american guy in his early twenties walked passed us on his way out. good looking kid, tall & thin with dark hair..and the kid just smiled and sort of stared. i even caught him looking back at us
- and omgah! its a donor.
it made me think - this is my own Genius Factory waiting room experience, but mine was so much better.

so we came home and delved a little into sperm donors, the who and why and where of it.. we revisited the donor sibling registry website, and our donor has his own page! have a look.

we also bumped into donoroffspringmatches.com - havn't had alot of time to get into that one much yet.

UPDATE - as it turns out the aforementioned website, allows parents to contact each other,
currently there isn't a fee for this service. In fact, we just sent an email to the parent of a baby boy who will be sharing our kiddos daddy. neato.

ok. i also wanna share an article that presents an aspect of having a baby through artificial insemination that we hadn't considered - the perspective of a teenage girl conceived via AI.
After the first page i was pretty freakin' freaked...
