We've downsized into a smaller apartment. This way the distraction of an empty kiddo room is gone and we have absolutely no chance of taking in another placement. It's also a great way to save some money and really focus on the house buying plans we tossed to the back burner.
We got in touch with Izzis caseworker. She no longer works for CPS. His new worker is in training..
Thing is we kept some kid stuff for future placements..and well now we want Izzi to have it.
His mom, we hear, is excited about it and is looking forward to having it for him. We almost expected her to tell us to fuck off.
We're ignoring calls from our agency. Letting our licenses go. We may be foster parents again at some point..but I really don't think so.
Eventually this blog will change again. It'll be about something else, and that will be that.
