ssooo, a riot occurred in the early hours of this lovely morning on the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge at the tail end of SXSW during an impromptu party gig by 'hardcore rockers' 'fucked up'. Around 1,000 people were on the bridge..annnd then there was moshing, "a mosh-pit 30-people wide". The bridge began to buckle and bounce under the weight of the crowd, which prompted many fans to jump into the river to escape. Muahahaahaa..
but here is my personal highlight of sxsw:
lymbyc systym - they were dainty, oh so hipster, and geeky as they come, but this duo out of arizona blew my mind in every possible way. intense lo-fi electro.. check them out here
alot of great new bands this year..but these kids did the trick.

i really hate that katie sketch didn't throw a set together and drag the new band to austin this year..not much public activity for that project. what is going on?
